Leadership Academies form part of the Step into Sport programme and are designed to provide high quality support and development for young leaders and volunteers that are committed to actively volunteering within their school and/or community settings.

As part of our commitment to the development of young leaders and volunteers; 40 young people from across the School Sport Partnership have been nominated to become part of our first Leadership Academy. Each member of the Academy will receive additional support, training and advice on their development as a young leader. This will include access to additional training courses, volunteering experience at local events and much more.

The Leadership Academy was launched at the end of April at Ashcombe Adventure Centre where they were tasked with a series of activities designed to develop upon their current leadership skills.
