Local School Sport Ambassador Programme
The Local School Sport Ambassador (LASSA) Programme is an athlete role model scheme which brings world class sports performers into the schools to motivate and inspire young people using the power of sport. With a host of potential Olympic, Paralympic, World, Commonwealth and International athletes studying at the University we have an excellent opportunity in which to bring the excitement of their sporting lives and successes into the classroom. Twelve schools from across the Partnership access the Local School Sport Ambassador (LSSA) programme in partnership with Exeter University.
Having received training from Olympic Silver Medallist Joe Glanfield and Commonwealth Gold Medallist Adam Whitehead, the team frequently make school visits as part of the programme.
