In order to provide the correct level of identification and support for our Gifted and Talented young people we are working in partnership with Dr. Andrew Middlebrook of Exercise Consult Ltd. Andrew Middlebrook is a highly reputable Sports Scientist who has worked alongside many elite athletes including 12 times Paralympic Gold Medallist Tanni Grey-Thompson.

You can see our Gifted and Talented model by downloading the document below but in essence the programme follows a series of Identification days across the partnership for pupils within years 6 and 7 (please see the Identification download for more details of how they were selected). All of the youngsters identified are classified as being Gifted and Talented and will remain in Family Multi-skill Academies over a 12-month period. The top 30 youngsters from across the partnership are then selected to represent the full Multi-skill Academy for the partnership and access a number of interventions based on the following areas;
