Exeter School Sport Partnership are delighted to announce the receipt of two Youth Sport Trust Regional Awards. Six awards were on offer on total to the 50 School Sport Partnerships across the South West so securing two is a real credit to the work of the Exeter SSP. Recognised for our work in engaging those that are traditionally disengaged from PE and Sport and for the support provided to those that are Gifted and Talented, Kealey Sherwood, Director of Community explained what it means to receive the awards;
"It was a real pleasure to receive these awards on behalf of everyone associated with the School Sport Partnership. They represent the fantatsic work that is undertaken by all of our partner schools and organisations to engage young people in PE and Sport. The most pleasing aspect for us is that the awards represent the wide scope of our work with one being awarded for the work we do in promoting participation by all and the other representing the work we do to support those that have a talent in PE and Sport. This is a true reflection of our desire to ensure that all young people have access to high quality PE and Sport".
